Some Asian countries don't cry especially men. I had also witnessed this in a Muslim country before. I think there is nothing wrong if we cry.

@magallon I won't mention some Asian countries. Men are taught not to cry. But I doubt it.

truly yes. there's nothing wrong in crying. in fact, it helps us physically and emotionally. According to some men, crying affects their masculinity. But there are countries i think that its okay for men to cry. So maybe it depends on the culture.

@skysnap .. yes. There are times that we really hold our tears within us. We try our best not to show our heartaches and failures . We do not easily cry even if the situation really hurts us. Because of that, we learned to become tough and ready to handle those hurtful events in our lives.

No, I cry whenever I need to....usually in serious or scary situations. My Grandma used to even yell at me for not having any composure. But I don't care. I never know how to act right when something really bad is going on, I just do what I want...usually involves crying....in front of anyone....it never really mattered to me how I acted in front of others during times of crisis.

and i'm sure it gives you a feeling of relief. so, cry it out when you feel to. there's nothing to be ashamed of as long as you feel better afterwards.

Most of us have been brought up to try not to cry. I know when I do cry for whatever reason that I feel better afterwards.

yes, because our parents want us to become a strong person. I also tell my children not to cry easily. I want them to learn how to fight challenges in life.

I believe that crying really gives a calming effect because through crying, tensions and bad emotions are released.

Tue and untrue. In a study conducted in the Netherlands, among 200 Dutch women, only some said they felt better after crying. Those who were depressed or anxious were likely to feel worse after crying. This is my case and I also do not see well after crying, I have to use eye drops.

oh I see. so maybe in every rule there is always an exemption. it doesn't apply to everyone. and i think not all of the six benefits that were enumerated are applicable to one person. some maybe true but some are not.
