Just two weeks ago we had a touch of sleet and snow in our area in May and today it got up to the mid-eighties. A frozen treat that became available in our store in the last few years is on sale again which is great as I really enjoy them.
The ones in the image are Fruit and Veggie Bars and they are made from real fruit and vegetables using concentrate and puree and they are delicious. These particular ones have only 35 or 40 calories, no fat, no cholesterol, low sodium some being only 5mg and others 15mg.
The outshine bars also come in other varieties such as different flavors made with yogurt, and different flavors of fruit ice bars. The latter two being a larger bar on a stick. All the outshine bars are: "made with real fruit, Excellent source of Vitamin C, no high fructose corn syrup, fat free, gluten free and no artificial colors or flavors.
If you want to see more, you can check out their website, of which I'm not affiliated in any way at, outshinesnacks.com
Have you ever tried these or any other healthy frozen treat?

I'm hoping to win my husband over to them too, Patsie, as he's been diabetic for the past couple of years. Much better than all the hidden ingredients found in most other frozen delights.

Some of their products are available in other countries, but possibly not India just yet. Some go by other names too. Maybe there are other frozen treats available there that are somewhat healthy? One thing I've done many times is put grapes into the freezer. I'd think you get grapes there too? Try putting a handful into the freezer or icebox long enough so they freeze and then eat them before they thaw. They aren't so hard that it hurts the teeth and they are refreshing and natural.

@vandana7 I'm guessing that your winters are still somehwat hot? You will find it a refreshing alternative to unhealthy frozen treats. I've only done red grapes, but I'd think all colors and flavors would work fine. If you take too many out at once they do thaw quite quickly, but if you don't take neough out at once, it costs more energy to keep opening up the freezer/ice box to get more, so you have to figure that part out.

Wow, a frozen confection that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup is hard to find. I will be looking for these babies.

If your stores don't have them yet, maybe you can request them. Some stores will try to please the customers in that fashion. The price ours usually goes for is 3.99 per box. A few weeks ago they were on sale for 3.50 and this week they are down to 2.49, so I hope to stock up my freezer downstairs with them. Now I just have to try not to eat the whole box too soon.
Our Catalina printers are also putting out coupons when any are purchased although if you buy one it has a coupon to buy two, if you buy two, then a coupon is generated for three and so on. I plan on buying small quantities in small orders to eliminate the additions on the coupons.

@MarshaMusselman I'll have to put a bug in the ear of the manager.

@ElusiveButterfly Well that stinks. But, if a manager puts in an order for them, maybe they'd still show up there eventually. I could see if they were made by a private company, although I don't know from whence Nestle hails. I'd think you'd have their candy bars there, so mabe eventually they'd show up one day.

@marlina It's only been here for a year or so, Marlina. I only began eating them last year before winter.

I just checked it out and while you have other Nestle brands in Canada, it looks like the Outshine bar hasn't made it there just yet. Maybe you could ask at the grocery store too, I'm not sure whether it's something they could get or not.

Have you tried all the varieties yet? I probably won't buy the yogurt bars since there are so few in the package, but maybe one day when money isn't so tight.

These are very addicting, I love fruit bars. I have also gotten into Magnum bars they are ice cram coated in chocolate. I like the white chocolate and the vanilla ice cream in the center. I normally reach for Popsicles when its hot out rather than ice cream, another classic that will always be here are the bomb pops they are so delicious

THe outshine bars can seem addicting, but I think that's because I don't feel so bad having more than one because of the lower caloric count and other ingredients. It's not addicting the way that the filler ingredients in many ice cream and fruit bars are.

I agree with you there, Marsha. Have you tried all the varieties yet? The fruit and vege bars provide more bars for the price as there are 12 per box. The yogurt ones only have four bars and the fruit ice bars have six per box. Those are at least larger in size.

Ha, ha, you're too funny. If they become available in your area, you can still give them a try.
