What is up with me doing laundry and the rain??

Oh my. I got up this morning, rather late, and it was sunny and hot outside. I put a load of laundry in the washer. As soon as the washer was done I hung it out to dry.
Within 30 minutes it was thundering and lightening.
I barely got it down and back in the house wet when it started pouring rain out.
It is literally coming down in buckets out there and includes hail with it. This storm seemed to seriously just come out of nowhere. The weather on the news didn't even say it was close to our area...or at least I didn't hear that it was.

In our area a possible thunderstorm could happen this afternoon. This kept me from hanging clothes out today. Hoping I can hang them out tomorrow.
We always say if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes it's bound to change. We can get sunny skies one moment and rain the next.

I hate that! Fortunatly, now I will be able to place my laundry to dry inside my greehouse. Of course I will have to take it out when visitors come, but that can be planned more than hail.

I had heard that it would start at 2. We have lots of thunder and some big fat drops now.

I've been fortunate. My clothes has not rained wet in quite a while. I adjust my laundry day if the weather doesn't look promising.
