With a week of a bit of cycling and lots of walking, I took yesterday off with little activity beyond a slow stroll to the shops.
I really do have a plan to be more active, and Thursday's day off was part of that. Today was a day for pedalling. With a sunny morning, I spent as much time as I could off road enjoying the greenery and on the leg home, I followed the canal - popping into the supermarket.
It also gave me the first opportunity to try out the new heart rate sensor, which links to the little GPS system and I can see how fast the old ticker is going on some of those climbs.
Following @teamfreak16 advise and example, I have started logging these stats online. All very exciting, but I am sure it will wear off soon enough!

That looks like a far pleasanter ride than on a street! Lovely scenery rather than concrete and asphalt.
