The Recycling Bin Is Empty Again

Thankfully, the recycling bin is empty again and so is the compost one.
What a lovely feeling to start the week.
Went outside very early this morning to put the bins out and by seven o'clock they both were empty already. Love it when they come early and
we don't have to look at those bins all day.
How do you feel when the garbage people come early?

When we lived in town we used to like it when they came early, but now that we live in a little rural village we no longer have pick up. We could if we wanted to use a local company that contracts it out, but it is quite expensive and my husband would rather drop it off at the transfer station himself.

I'm glad we just have to put our pails by the curb for pick-up so I should stop complaining that it's a pain to do since I don't have to lug it to a place for disposal.

They come every single day at the same time so I don't know what I would feel if they do come early.

My husband is the garbage man here! LOL! We don't have those services unless we pay for them out here in the country.

@marlina We love it, we can take the trash 3 days a week if we want - no holding onto stinky garbage a week. We paid at the last house since the place we had to go was a good 30 miles round trip - but here its a few miles away so it's far cheaper for us to do it. $60 a month for one p/u a week seems excessive to me.

When I used to live in town I hated to be awaken by the thumping of the trucks dumping each can. I cannot hear any trash trucks here because my neighbors are so far apart. I usually recycle everything and I have very little trash to dispose of.

the dump truck collecting our garbage come every day despite the schedules on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. it is because the people here are so hard-headed and don't follow the rules.

@marlina a CCTV is installed near the garbage area but i don't know if somebody is watching it because there are some people who throw their garbage even if it is not yet the scheduled day.

We have an eco aide here that sweeps the streets and picks up the trash every morning. others have to wait a week for their carbage trucks to come here.

we've the need to haul what lil garbage we produce 'cross town 'n to the dump, so've nary a clue :) 's fer the compost part, i'd be most depressed'f'n mine 'twas empty. i rely quite heavily'n its production.

Very happy, but they are consistent in coming every Monday and Wednesday. I always give her all the recyclables, even old or worn out appliances she can sell to the junkshop.
