I discovered that the Persona Paper site has now been fully taken down – quite a shame as it was a useful site for many after Bubblews perished. I was invited out to a friendly low-stakes poker game by some friends, an event that happens a few times a year on average. Initially I had tickets for a burlesque cabaret so I wasn’t going to make the card game but I was notified that the burlesque was cancelled due to low ticket sales – a real shame. I checked with my friends and they were happy for me to come to the game. As I was preparing to leave, my sister started bringing cakes and crates of beer into the house. As she refuses to talk to me I found out from my mum that my sister was using our house for a 30th birthday party for one of her son’s girlfriends, without mentioning it to me, let alone inviting me. My mum has a very delicate heart condition and suddenly had a party going on round her. I felt quite disgusted. I headed to Rochdale, taking photos of pub signs and other sites around Rochdale and Milnrow before joining my friends for the game, which I lost quickly. I was so glad we were not playing for high stakes. I acted as dealer for the remaining players. There was lots of pizza and whisky too. My friends were kind enough to let me stay overnight too.
