Trees Trimmed And Faces Stuffed

A couple of weeks ago one of my friends who has a pole chainsaw had planned to come and trim my trees. On the night before he was to come he hurt his finger and said he couldn’t operate the saw.
Yesterday he came with another one of our friends and trimmed my trees. It looks great out there now but I’m certain they will need trimming again in the years to come.
After trimming the trees we all went to the Black Angus Restaurant. I had a coupon for two meals for forty-two dollars. My tree trimming friend bought what he wanted and our other friend and I ordered the two meals on the coupon. The meal included sweet molasses bread, a sampler, the entrées, two side dishes and a dessert.
I ordered a porterhouse pork chop, corn on the cob and asparagus. We all shared the sampler. We ordered fried breaded zucchini.
My other friend who was ordering with the coupon ordered a New York Steak (12 oz.), baked potato with the works and coleslaw.
My tree trimming friend ordered lobster. He got French fries with his meal.
For the dessert on the coupon we ordered key lime pie. It was a big piece and we cut it in half. My tree trimming friend didn’t want any.
We all left the restaurant happy and full. Without the coupon the two meals would have cost us fifty-four dollars.

Nice! We need to get our VERY tall ash tree trimmed, but I'm sure we'd need more than just a pole chainsaw job.
Black Angus - we haven't been there in years! I do see the coupons every now and then with the mailers - you got a deal for all that food. Wow, did you guys have a feast or what. How was the pork chop? I can't remember if I ever ordered pork chops from a restaurant!

@RichardMeister How is the seafood at Black Angus? How long do you think it will be before you have to have the tree trimmed again? Our tree is just tall. We don't mind it, but some of our neighbors hate our tree . . . the leaves fall like crazy and then it all flies into their yard. Sorry, but that's what trees do. And I especially won't make an effort to trim it anytime soon because the one neighbor complained in a nasty way - sure, I'll trim it - someday . . .

My pork chop was good. I rarely order pork chop but I had been eating a lot of chicken and beef so I wanted something different. What happen to the trees here is an ice storm we had back in the late 1990s caused the branch to bend downwards a bit. So now instead of them growing upwards like most trees they grow slightly downwards. There were a couple of branches that were nearly touching the ground. I had to duck under the branches to get to the back door of my house. I'm surprised the fire department or the electric company didn't complain about it. There's a fire hydrant under the tree and one of the branches was right in front of the electric meter. I'm sure both the firemen and the meter reader will be thanking me for having the tree trimmed.

@much2say My friend said he liked the lobster. I've had salmon there before and it was good. I think my trees will have to be trimmed again in three to five years. No one complained about my trees which surprised me.

It kind of took me by surprise but I'm sure he ordered the fries with it so it was his choice.

@RichardMeister oh that makes more sense. I thought that's what the place automatically served with it. I was like "oh hell no!"
