How MyLot helped me make $80.40 in one day!

I posted a post today and did a lot of commenting between volunteering at the preschool and seeing my afternoon kid client. Then I had a gig tonight with the Country Music band at a local bar and restaurant associated with a local golf course. I wound up making $80.40 above and beyond what I make at my "real" jobs. I leave it up to you to decide how much I made playing guitar and mandolin and singing (I sang lead on only three songs: Dim Lights, Pancho and Lefty, and Paradise) and how much I made on MyLot. Woo hoo--I'm gonna be rich!

Go for it! I was pleased to see the dollar signs this morning. What a great site this is that you don't have to worry about if and when you get paid.

It's sad that we've been conditioned to be almost "surprised" when a site is professional.

@TheHorse Always good to keep yourself and others in a band grounded. An ego is a dangerous thing.

@pgntwo That is VERY true. Like the Warriors (who won tonght by eleven, I think), you have to focus on the team, not the individual. For some, that's hard.

It's fun making money doing something I love. But I worry that it will become a burden, or that band mates will take what we do too seriously.

@TheHorse It sure does add up at the bank. Was the 40 cents what you made on mylot for that day.

It is. I enjoy cycling to the bank to deposit a few 20s. It all adds up eventually.

@youless I've thought of doing some music teaching. Especially for kids. I do a bit of that anyway in other contexts.

@ida123 But I'll take it. I like jamming with friends best. If I have to play in front of people, and "entertain" them, I'd rather be paid than not.

That would be a reasonable guess. Do you remember when I'd do these posts over on "the site that will not be named"? The total would be like $50.04. I guess I'm moving up in the world!

@TheHorse Yes, I do remember them. But of course, the B $ was much higher there, at least for a while.

We had another gig last night (different band--two common members) but don't know how much we made because we're getting a percentage of what the restaurant made. The place was packed, so we should do well.
