Who Wears a $12,000 Jacket to Give a Speech About Income Inequality?

In the interest of equal time and fairness I feel compelled to point out that the presumptive Republican nominee is not the only one capable of making humongous errors in judgement during this campaign season.
Recently, the newly anointed presumptive Democratic Party candidate (did you know it was originally the Democratic-Republican Party back in Thomas Jefferson's day.) gave a speech about income inequality while wearing a $12,000 designer jacket that looked like it had been made out of several old Kirby Vacuum bags.
What sort of judgement does it show, when an insanely rich Presidential
Candidate, who make most of her money playing on her status as First Lady, Senator, and then Secretary of State, wears a $12,000 designer jacket to give a speech about how the 1% is taking advantage of the 99%?
Then again, she should know a lot about how the 1% is taking advantage. After all, she is part of the 1%.
Does it bother you that Well-Dressed Hillary Clinton wore a $12,000 designer jacket to give a speech on income inequality? Does it bother you that a Presidential Candidate had gotten so rich trading on her status as a public servant that she can afford a $12,000 jacket?

Right on! We have less than desirous on both sides. I think this is the worst choice ever and nowhere to turn to.

It is a shame that sane, capable people have been discouraged from running for high public office and we are left with the two biggest clowns in the political circus. The old song by the band Chicago, "Harry Truman" keeps running through my mind. Not so much because I'm a fan of Harry Truman, but the longing for someone to lead. I wish there was a song like that about Reagan.

@JohnRoberts I don't know what it will take to fix the system. Perhaps a third party candidate will arise in the next election cycle who will capture the attention of the voting public enough to give the two major parties a run for their money. In the meantime we're caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

@DWDavis An additional bad factor is just about every other candidate that was on the hunt on both sides also possessed serious flaws. There is no such thing as the perfect candidate but this is taking it to extremes. You used to have two imperfect but sincere candidates.

It was worth a lot to Armani to have her in that jacket. We don't really have any idea if she paid anything for it. Snopes has some interesting info on this.

I just read the updated article. Now it claims that the jacket, while retail priced by the designer at $12,000 didn't really cost that much, I guess because nobody pays retail. The writer still conjectures that the jacket may have been loaned to Clinton, but that is speculation on her part. Still, it reads like a rebuttal right out of Hillary's campaign headquarters.

@DWDavis I certainly agree that no article of clothing is worth that kind of money nor is any suit worth $7000.

Haha yeah it's totally annoying, what is she thinking if she wear $12,000 jacket? lol wearing those type of clothes doesn't mean the person is rich, but it means she's an attention seeker! Even me I will not wear those type of jacket or any items that costs a lot, I dont want attention

Just read many of Trump's suits are upwards of 7K
What would make anything he wears worth that? The world is really crazy.

In a world filled with starving children and so many homeless, how does any person justify owning or wearing ANYTHING that costs 12K?

I saw a comment that someone left and it is worth repeating. They posted the story and commented that they congratulate the company for being able to sell a flour sack with sleeves for $12,000. Hilary is so far removed from how normal people live that it is laughable.

Everything that woman does bothers me. I don't have very high hopes for America's future.
