It Takes All Sorts to Make a World

This proverb/idiom replays in my mind often. I comfort myself by recalling this when I see an issue/behavior that doesn’t make sense.
Each individual is different and we have billions of them alive every moment. And if we take all from the beginning of our times they could well add up to trillions of individuals that left their footprints and added to the immense variety.
This also highlights the oneness of humanity along with the uniqueness in each of us. It sort of behooves us to shine our light from our angle to enrich our ride. Maybe, those who play a negative role are so tuned so that others are kept on their toes to strive harder to show their true potential.
We all look at life differently though majority falls into a broad parameter of live and let others live to an extent they are ready to forgive others even if such attitude endangers their own lives. After each terrorist attack people forgive those who sort of abet the perpetrators through their silence.
It looks like some are sacrificed so that others learn the lessons and move on. It does not make much sense when the innocents fall victim. Hopefully, there is a method to such madness.
How do you view the extreme variety in daily life – those who are almost saintly in their ways and at the other extreme are those who care two hoots about human lives?

The evil manages to set our agenda. I recall Edmund Burke's words:
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
Yes, our ways have not changed despite technological progress and that does not bode well - siva

There is good and bad in us all however most people are good. It is a minority that are bad.

well, each of us (except those who live a saintly and holy life) have good and bad personalities in us. it is in our own conscience now if we increase the goodness, or ignore the goodness and become evil.
innocents fall victims, yes, but isn't it their choice not to fight back? being always on the losing end will somehow develop a sense of inferiority, and i don't go for this. it is either i fight back, or i leave. leaving is not a form of defeat, it is still courage not to fight back some things that are not right and at level of my thinking.

The vast majority are innocents and believe in the goodness of humanity.
Just yesterday there was the shooting at a night club in Florida killing 50 - they would never have imagined their fate but again the evil forces at work to sully our name for no reason.
The issue is how to rally against this madness and intolerance?
The good seems to be divided on the actions to be taken - siva

Does it really take all sorts to make a world?
Why do we need such immensity of variation in opinion, and morals, and seemingly goodness and badness in thinking, and acting, and in being?
I suspect that all of these variations are mere window dressings on top of the real person underneath. The real person is composed from love only, and is loving, kind, and generously connective to all other people.
When this love is not being lived from fully consciously, then variations arise.
Oneness is itself, comglomerously so, without variations, but it allows variations because it knows these are all only waves on the surface of its ocean, sometimes being seemingly destructive, and sometimes being overly carressive of the shore line, where most people live and have their lives, and never think of entering the ocean itself.
On the other hand though, love itself has infinite truths within itself, and we are all created to live from these and to grow in the conscious understanding of them from our experiences, be they good or bad.

Circumstances do play a part too. We behave in a way but if circumstances conspire against us we too can go berserk.
Then the world is sort of moving at a faster pace in terms of the way the old ways are discarded and some cannot reconcile with the change and they lash out the only way they know - with what weapons they can get hold of.
The more the pace of change the more the resistance to it, it looks like. The entrenched thinking clashing with the new.
Human to human empathy that reflects love within is under threat as people are more into gadgets that result in flippant attitude.
Maybe, the love within is getting bottled up with lesser avenues to bring it out and shine across society. Hatred to another is being preached, sort of war declared, and the basic love that we are inborn with clashes with such an outlook.
Though love trumps in most the few are able to exhibit hate and grab the headlines.
We have to get out of this miasma and trust deficit to reach safer shores - siva
