Family Gathering

United States

I would like to take some of my great nieces and nephew geocaching today. Last summer I took two of them and my sister (their grandmother) geocaching in Nassau while we were on a cruise. It was very hot and I worried the children would be uncomfortable and not enjoy the experience but they loved it and wanted to do a second one right away. There are many caches located nearby her home So If I do a little research, I will be prepared if they remember going geocaching and ask to go again. I'm not sure how long they are staying, maybe tomorrow is a better day when the party is over. I don't want to take away from the party. My nephews family of six kids are moving from Alaska to Washington DC. Life will really be different for them! Back in suburbia and the hiking, hunting and fishing will take a backseat to new experiences.

It is so nice that you have family interested in this too. That move from Alaska to DC-talk about culture shock.

You have a big family, and you obviously enjoy them. I hope you manage to go geocaching.

Well, we'll see! It's just an option but the ones close by look good.

Oh I see, take your great necessary along to do all the energetic climbing and jumping where trees are involved.

Fortunastely for me all caches are not in trees. I will need all the energy I can get to spend time at the family gathering where there are six kids from one family and two from another. They are all 13 and below.

I have heard from other users from Canada about geocaching, it seems that this hunting is a lot of fun.

It really is for me. It's purely a game, no monetary value, but you play for free. It's a nice family activity.

A Nassau trip sounds good but if it's too hot then the heat will surely make the trip a bit uncomfortable. A large family. I hope your nephews enjoy Washington DC.

i'm sure they'd be tickled to go'n such'n adventure with ya 'gain :) wowzers, aint sure which part'f alaska they were livin' (some places're most remote), but regardless, movin' to d.c.'s gonna be quite the shock to their systems! 'course, there's places 'round there i reckon they can get in some hikin' 'n fishin', though i dunno 'bout the huntin' part.
