Active Shooter in Amarillo??

@VivaLaDani13 Don't worry! He is fine.The authorities have the access to that area restricted. The shooter is down already. Situation is under control.

@infatuatedbby All is safe and taken care of now. Which is good but yeah, things just seem to keep on happening. One after the other.

@VivaLaDani13 Thank you Dani for thinking of me! I appreciate that! I actually was down in Orlando the day before, but I was safely back in Gainesville when the shooting happened. Even when I am down there visiting, I tend to avoid the downtown bars and clubs, and spend more time on the outskirts of the city where things are less pompous. Most of my friends down there live in the suburbs anyway, so it's not often I venture into the core of the city. I did have a friend of mine at that club the night of the shooting, but he had left hours earlier and was already home when the shootings started.

@moffittjc I am glad your friend was safe! Not taking anything away from the victims though but yeah just glad your friend was alright! And I am glad you stay away from certain areas.

@moffittjc I only keep watch because I follow News Groups on Facebook. But yeah it just popped up and I saw it. All over by now thank goodness. Too much going on lately all at once. Man.....not that you were in the area but I was thinking of you when that happened to be honest. I was worried actually. Like I said....I doubt you were in that place but just because of it happening in Florida, I worried.

@VivaLaDani13 During the in between times, I fill myself up with the beauty of nature and all the wonderful things that happen. I find good news to talk about rather than bad. And there is so much more good in the world than bad. So it's a wonderful way to spend time while bad things aren't happening!

@CRK109 Thankfully the situation was taken care of quite fast. But no doubt there will be another negative thing happening soon.

@akalinus I really feel things are only going to get worse. I don't see anything improving anytime soon.

@JudyEv lol I know. I like to watch sometimes but usually by the end of watching the news, I am drained out from all the negativity.

@rachz_kisses I have a feeling like it's too late to try and make peace. The world is just too screwed and angry.
