Dang, this year is really running

Yeah, yeah I know, we can't really see a year run, but we sure can feel it.
Not too long ago many here on Mylot were complaining about how cold it was and how they couldn't wait for summer, well, summer solstice is on Monday.
Here in El Paso it's in the 100s for the next week or more and yeah, I'm havin a blast ..... Ally n I go under my tree n play water sports 
I call it that cuz I'm tryin to water the trees n stuff n Ally wants me to water her.
I've changed my Avatar. This time I've combined pictures of both my girls so that Boobear is easier to see, she's just 4 or 5 pounds and Ally is about 50, can you see Boobear better this time?

Yeah time sure does go faster the older we get. I am hating the heat that we are getting here! I can't wait for the cooler weather.

Yeah, just wait til you get to yer 60s, that's when time really flies. Cool weather is ok sometimes but I like it hot.

Yes this year is flying by and I'm enjoying the warmer weather. Am definitely not in any hurry for a snowy winter to arrive

I'm hoping the heat will reduce a bit, those 97+ temps get really intense sometimes.
I'm in no hurry for winter either and I'll pray you won't get a heavy duty winter.

i dunno where the year's gone, havin' jest switched my calendar o'er to june yesterday...
we've been meltin' 'long with ya 'n this heat aint helpin' the firefighters here'n new mexico. so much destruction'n the monzano mountains 'n surroundin' towns :(
yer fortunate y'ave got water to "play", the hubs's this shut off so's he can sleep'n his chair...uhm, i mean let the water leak dry'p some more.

I sure hope they finally contain those flames, it's always so tragic that ya'll get those wildfires.
We've been lucky, none usually get too close to El Paso although last year there were some wildfires on the south side of Cloud Croft, those scared us a wee bit cuz the winds could've blown it into Chaparral NM which is on the edge of El Paso.

They give tickets here for open fires @crazyhorseladycx when I burn anything it's always in one of those tall black barbecue dillybobs and I always make sure I only burn when it's still and calm ..... I keep the lid in my hand cuz often times there'll be a breeze soon after I start burnin somethin.

@rebelann dangerous schtuff, those fires, fueled by the winds 'n drought. i'd hoped there 'twas 'nough snow'n the mountains, moisture'n the ground to prevent such. sadly not so.
i've 'd a few neighbors o'er the years who've been careless with their trash burnin' 'n nearly took's out. scary schtuff! e'en jest seein' 'n smellin' the smoke from those'n the distance.

I'm sure I don't play as often as she would like but then it is so dry here that it's better to conserve rather than run amok with the water sports. We usually play 2 or 3 times a week.

They are handsome children. I can imagine i would want to be watered at that temp. Kansas was like that, I'm very happy living in the north now and going south for the worst part of winter.

Ahhh, yes, Florida beaches in winter or is it the Bahamas or something ..... I can't remember all the places you've written about when on your winter excursions but I can remember the pictures you've posted.

@rebelann I've been everywhere...since we moved to Canada where they have cheap trips ( Its a Canadian thing - snow birds) and the prices you can not say no too) And Florida which is not that cheap but we have family there... Love your babies.
