More Postcards from myLotters

United States

One of the postcards went to my Mom from a myLotter and unfortunately I did not get a photo, but many thanks to @JaboUK for making her day! Mom took the postcard with her to her Luncheon at Olive Garden yesterday, it arrived just before we left. She had something new to talk about and share. The ladies were suitably impressed! Not one had ever received a postcard from England! They admired the queen on the stamp! The Windmill postcard came last week from South Africa from @Inlemay which I mentioned before, but didn't send a picture. It had a lovely stamp on it with South Africa in all capital letters over a soaring bird and the words: International Small Mail below. And isn't the one from New Mexico awesome? Their state symbol is the image on top of the scull. It just looks like New Mexico! Lots of Indian representation. Many thanks Deb aka @crazyhorseladycx

Your card should be arriving soon! I have noticed that postcards to the Philippines seem to take extra long to arrive.

@Jeanniemaries I feel the same way. Although I don't trade postcards yet, I am writing to a young man in the service and I feel that way about his letters in my mail box!

I'm so glad that your mom was pleased Jean. It's great the way these postcards are bringing a little happiness. The other two postcards are great too, especially the one from New Mexico.

@Jeanniemaries that is what fascinated me as well = its angle - I love photos of windmills = This one will be on one of my first postcards - this is my own photo

Your windmill was a delight to discover in my mailbox. It reminded me of my former home in Ohio where we have them on rural farms and I have often photographed them. I loved the angle of this photograph accentuating the height of these massive structures.

@Jeanniemaries Oh yes, that poor mailman. It must be hard enough for him having to deliver to your house on Valentines Day, without you receiving postcards all year as well.

@Asylum I received zero Valentines. No hearts and cupids for me these days. But I started doing pocket letters soon after and exchanging them with other crafty ladies and I did receive some St. Patrick's day fun and Easter fun. Then I discovered a whole world of people who love to exchange postcards!

It is nice to have people thinking of you and surprisingly the postcards are educational as well. I also like to read about the interests of people around the world who lead much different lives that I.
