A friend of mine knows a lot of languages and she said that Chinese is the hardest one to learn. But if you do learn it, Japanese and Korean become waaay easier.

@shubhu3 Yep. Although I find speaking (not writing) Japanese to be easy, though. I'm having a bit trouble with the letters. Anyway, good luck to you!

Heheh that seems a little contradictory because their mother tongue is Chinese and they are having difficulty in the same. :P

Language you don't know seems tough. I remember English always looked difficult but not now when I learned it.

It is difficult. Especially for pronunciation. Most of the learners can not pronounce properly, and it is hard for Chinese to understand what they want to express. Also for the same word, it also contains different meaning in different situations.

I am sure that Chinese is more difficult to write than to speak, but surely is not the easiest language to learn.

Every language is difficult if one is halfhearted to learn. And Japanese is the most difficult for me.

It is definitely hard if you learn languages you're not used to or new language. But learning new language mostly rely on your memorization skill and familiarizing yourself to it.

It's not easy to learn other languages. But if you are willing to learn, nothing is impossible.
