Many of us have to leave home for one reason or another, Holidays, Hospitalization, University, Boarding school, Sports tours, crisis time . . . . what is the best thing you find in your home, when Returning home? My hubby has been away on a Engineering course for a few days and this morning has messaged me to say - Cant wait to sleep in my own bed tonight! This coming from a man who has just stayed 4 nights in a Five Star Hotel with the best of the best . . . Do the comforts of your home have you wishing to be there too? Good Morning - its a Choose Day, therefore Choose to be happy. My daughter used this wonderful quote from the writings of Anne Frank on her FB page this morning: “Whoever is happy will make others happy.” ~ Anne Frank my photo is from many years ago - Namibian travels and a stop at the Tropic of Capricorn - that little girl is now a very wise young lady!

Same as your husband, I can't wait to sleep in my own bed, no matter how good is the bed in the hotels where I stayed. For my husband is the home made cooking.

I love traveling so I dont consider my bed the best, however I love my kitchen and I normally cannot wait to get back to my own kitchen. And I clean when I get back - even if the house is very clean, I clean anyway

One or other - or both - of us usually make a remark about being pleased to be home in our own bed even though the bed in the bus is really comfortable.

Maybe because I make the bed so much that I dont miss it too much, I miss my kitchen

Thats very true. We sometimes visit my partner's sister for a day or two but i always couldn't wait to go home and move around my own space, cook at my own kitchen and take a bath in my own bathroom.

So then I shouldn't think him just very spoiled at home, but it seems everyone has something at home they prefer. Thats why we call it home

Nice memory, not a good pic of me - I was grey at the age of 40 there, but since have painted my hair all shades of browns

@ison_1 I know - but having a hubby with cancer all those years back did nothing for my own health and good looks! ha ha ha - We are survivors - he survived the cancer and I survived him being sick!

there's jest no place like home, my first stop's selfishly to see the herd. jest the familiarity 'f my surroundin's puts me back'n balance. e'en though there's usually tons to be done from my absence. she's indeed a wise young lady, ya raised her well :D

Home will always still be the best place for each one of us because it is where our family is. Whenever I go out of the country, I always think that I will tell all that happened when I was in my travel to my family. It always give me the excitement to share with them my experiences. I know my happiness will not be complete unless I already shared it to them.

That's a wonderful quote. Reminds me of another quote: Don't worry be happy.

That quote is so true. Happiness can be contagious. I enjoy travelling, but it's always nice to be home. Amazing to actually be at the Tropic of Capricorn.

I have crossed over that Tropic a few times as well as the Tropic of Cancer - thats what happens when you go from South to North a few times

@inlemay I love getting home to sit on my own reliable toilet. So many toilets are so unsuitable when you're on the road - wobbly seats, inadequate flushes etc. There's no toilet like your own toilet.

I suppose that could be a comforting thought - our own toilets and the private comforts it provides
