Another Wednesday, another delivery of organic fruit and vegetables. I'm very happy with this one as there really isn't anything in here that I won't use. This week we received: romaine lettuce, kale, sugar snap peas, yellow squash, carrots, onions, a cucumber, parsley, garlic scapes, tomatoes, blueberries, grapes, pears, and bananas. The only thing that is "different" in the box is the garlic scapes but last time we got them I made pesto with them and it was pretty good so I'll probably do the same thing again. What do you think of the selection that I received this week?

Nice bunch of produce. I never heard of garlic scrapes.

They grow from the bulb of garlic in the spring/summer. Some people go crazy for them. I can live without them but obviously I will use them if I get them.

@NJChicaa Ah, I see. You use it for sauces like for seasoning?

@KristenH I make it into pesto and use it with pasta. That's what the general consensus on the internet is with garlic scapes: make them into pesto.

Actually, other than the squash, it all sounds good.

not a fan of squash, huh? I like it. Doesn't seem to have much flavor to me. I grow it and I get it in the box in the summer so I get overloaded with it during the summer.

That sounds a really good selection this week. I'd be able to use all of those without much trouble.
