Arrested!

I was fixing breakfast when I heard a siren. I looked out the window to see a state patrol pull over a motorcycle. They stopped on the other side of a bunch of bushes so I couldn’t see what was going on. But I could tell how long they were there by the way the traffic slowed down. Cars usually fly by my place going over the thirty-five mile per hour (56 km/h) speed limit. As long as the cop was out there they slowed way down. After about twenty minutes a truck from a towing company arrived. The truck pulled over and for the next ten minutes or so I could hear the truck idling. Then I heard it drive away. A couple of minutes later, after it turned around, it when by with the motorcycle strapped down on the back of the truck. Apparently the motorcyclist was arrested. That’s a crappy way to start out a Friday. He probably was looking forward to the weekend and now he is more than likely going to spend it in jail. Then he is going to have to pay to get his motorcycle back. The guy couldn’t have been a very happy camper. But if he couldn’t keep his nose clean, that’s what happens. At least he didn’t try to take off through the field on the other side of the road. If he had the cop would have probably taken off after him. That would have been wild to see. But that would have gotten the guy into a lot more trouble than he was already in. So in that sense, the motorcyclist was smart.
