Butterfly kisses are a hold over from my childhood. I used to give butterfly kisses to my grandpa years and years ago. What are butterfly kisses? They are when you flutter your lashes lightly on a loved ones cheeks. They feel as though a butterfly is brushing it's wings against your cheek. It is one of my favorite memories of childhood. What is one of your memories?

It's the first time I hear about butterfly kisses. I do not remember I ever did something like this when I was a kid.

@LadyDuck it must be something that is regional. I used to think it was made up by my grandpa.

My Mum used to do this, and she did it when she was a little girl in Wales in the 1920s and 30s, so I don't think it's a regional thing!

That's a great memory. I don't have many good memories of my childhood, so I would have to think on that for a while.

@HazySue Susan, the only thing I like from my childhood is spending time with my grandpa after I finished school. He lived by my school.

How nice that you were able to spend that time with your grandpa making memories.

@HazySue Thanks Susan. It was very nice but very sad when he left this earth and now I miss him so much.

@marlina it is an old tradition in my family. My girls used to giggle and give a hug while giving butterfly kisses.
