Elizabeth Warren – cheerleader, extreme hand clapper, Clinton’s VP?

United States

Well, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren joined forces today and made their first appearance together this morning. I guess they are testing the waters to see how sympatico they are and just exactly what Warren can bring to the table. They appeared as BFFs, bursting with girl power and kumbaya. They were dressed in similar bluish-colored suits, I suppose to symbolize their unity, when just yesterday they didn’t like each other all that much. Warren is being described as the Clinton campaign attack dog, brought in to bite the bejesus out of Donald Trump and free Hillary up to focus on the issues. She is going to be Hillary’s cheerleader, defend her every word, possibly run as her VP, champion her every cause (despite the fact she vehemently opposes many of those causes), while at the same time relentlessly nipping away at Trump. I don’t think a super heavy dose of Elizabeth Warren will prove all that beneficial to Clinton in the long run. It would just be too much - too much girl power, two too many screeching females on one stage, too much man bashing (even against Trump), just way too much. I also noticed at this morning’s rally that Warren is into extreme handclapping. She clapped longer and louder and more often than anyone else in attendance. That clapping could finally break me and drive me away from my TV. Image: Pixabay.com

I agree with your assessment. Too much girl power would be a mistake for Clinton at this time.

I'm not keeping up on the political crap happening around the nation and hadn't heard of this yet. I hope she ruins things for Hilary, that would work for me even though I'm not sure about Trump either. I'm curious whether you meant to put 'two too many screeching females' the numeral in this sentence to emphasize the situation or not.

@LindaCPearson Meaning you don't like either of those females, or you don't like the front-runners on either side?

They are now saying that it would be a bad idea for Clinton to pick Warren as VP because she would overshadow her. Now that I think about it, I think the so called experts may be right on that.

Warren would overshadow Clinton, especially for those Bernie supporters.

It's a difficult task to get right I would think - supporting a potential President.

It is difficult, especially this year with so much crazy stuff going on.

I think Warren needs to stay true to her causes and that means that she shouldn't be Clinton's VP.

I'm sure she's being pressured by the party to support Clinton and bring Bernie's votes over to Clinton.
