For Women: How does it feel to be eighteen?

I am sure this kind of question will trigger the moment of a young girl turned to be a young woman. Most of the girls in my country loved to have a big celebration for her 18th birthday. A great debut party that brings changes to one’s personality to act as a young lady, it is an ideal tradition who can afford to have a big celebration. “Are they any special customs in your place for a young girl to experience at the age of eighteen?” If ever you had this special celebration, “What’s the feeling of being a real woman?” “Are they any difference between sweet sixteen and being a woman at the age of eighteen?” Photo Credit: pixabay.com

Just a simple celebration during my 18th birthday it's just like usual birthday celebration. Nothing's different for me after celebrating my 18th birthday..i just feel like sweet sixteen still until this moment i'm already 29. Lol.

Studying seems to be a repeating theme for Indians and Filipinos. In the US, it would be "partying, dude." No wonder most of my doctors and nurses in the US are Indian and Filipino. Heh.

18 is a beautiful age. But it is not that important here yet. As usually students in this age are very busy with their study. Some of them may even live in the dorm of the high school.

The kind of life I had? Terrible at 18! lol. Dad had no job, and I was yet to complete my graduation, we had little to fall back on. Nope not willing to travel back to those days. Fasting 3 days a week, and walking to and fro from college, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, and studying. I wonder how I managed. lol

That's really fruitful challenges, my friend. At least, we had to experience this to make us strong and determined to reach one's goal.

Even the simplest way of celebration can bring joy to us. I also don't go for overspending money.

@Shavkat Money is really hard to earn. We need to exert efforts in order to have it.

Well we don't really have any special customs in our country as such but yes young girls mostly celebrate their 16th birthday and 18th birthday in a very special way here. I miss being 16 when I was suppose to roam around feeling young about myself I was stuck in mending my family life and family fights. I wish I could turn 16 again and make everything right and make My life work back again the way I want. I am pretty sure this is every human being's regret

I'm a guy. Turning 18 just meant I could drink in Iowa, where I was in College. Other than that, not much changed.

When I was 18, nothing so special about. For me it's just an age and we had a simple celebration.

I think we don't need to celebrate it in the grandest way. As long as we are celebrating with the people close to our heart.

To be honest I didn't find any difference lol.But yeah 18 years this age is like the most fluctuating time for any girl..the time when she is growing biologically , cognitively and emotionally as well. One has to be very careful at this stage and phase of life.

Mine was simple, yet beautiful. At that time, I was so occupied by my studies. My experience says that there is nothing much like that..just pomp and show.

When I turned 18, it was only a family affair. No big traditional celebration. And I'm fine with it. I think at 18, you are mature enough to understand things at your presence.

It is the starting point for girls to be matured. There is no need for a big celebration. The important thing, you are with the people close to your heart.

At my times the special celebration was when we reached our 21st birthday. Anyway it was nothing official, a simple party with friends.
