No Service Here

My middle daughter surprised me with an iPhone and service on her family plan. I was thrilled.
We all sat down and started getting the phone set up and immediately ran into a problem.
We had no service.
Everyone picked up their own phone and found out they have no service either.
Now, this was a surprise because last year every one did have service.
We found out that apparently because I live in the middle of nothing and nowhere the service area doesn't cover us. If we go a little more than a block away you can get service on your phone.
I don't know why it is different this year, they have the same service and phone.
I thought you could use a cell phone just about anywhere.

I thought you can use a phone anywhere also! Is there any cell towers near your home that supports different service perhaps?

Not all cell services work in all places. Our last house only Verizon worked. I don't use a cell phone but that's what the word on the street is.
