I’ve been to Jamaica twice. We enjoyed both trips. Is there anyone here that lives in Jamaica? We stayed in two different resorts in the Montego Bay area.
I loved going to the Straw Market in Montego Bay and bartering with the vendors there. We rode the King Alphonso double-decker buses and had a wonderful time. I don’t know if that Bus line is still in business. It’s been a few years since we were there.
We climbed the Dunn’s River Falls and visited the White Witch’s house.
Jamaica has a lot to offer in entertainment and yet there is a lot of poverty there and political unrest. The weather is superb and the food is delicious, too. I would love to go back to Jamaica someday, but that will probably not happen.
Put it on your Bucket List, a place you would like to visit before you die.
The picture of me was taken by my husband.

I'll have to find Tallawha. I will look for him. I think I've seen him before.

@IreneVincent If you put the ampersand in front of his name, you should find him.

Yes, there is really no real safe place to travel anymore, so I'm glad I traveled when I did. I've been to 25 different countries, but I have no desire to travel now.

@NJChicaa I've been to Cozumel and Cancun several times. I didn't feel unsafe there but I did see poverty in Cancun.

@IreneVincent We travel to Cozumel Mexico every year. It is very safe there. It is a small little island.

Many different countries and islands that have beautiful resorts have political unrest and poverty and crime. We had friends who went to Belize recently and they were warned to stay on the resort property. This world is dangerous. I'm glad I did my traveling years ago.. I have no desire to travel now.

I would not travel overseas any time soon as it is way to dangerous.

Nice pic! I wish I could visit but my health conditions will not allow it at this time but thankfully I have some Jamaican friends so that I have a taste of that country.

Me too. In fact, my husband and I sponsored a Jamaican brother to come to the US. He lives not far from me and I get to see him and his wife from time to time.

Jamaica is a popular place to get married, I've heard.
