“Our faces will become works of art that our grandchildren will treasure.” ~ Adriana Trigiani . . . Life Lessons from My Grandmothers. After a quiet afternoon walking, taking in some peaceful fresh-air, ignoring the noise of the passing cars, I eventually returned home and knitted some squares. Postcards are sent! Let it Go . . and so i did. Feeling a lot better in my curmudgeon state but I fear that I have just layered some whitewash over my inner feelings and hopefully no-one will poke deeper than they ought tonight - Let me be! Desert time! The photo is my own of the dunes in Namibia covering the last tracks of the trains that ran there 80 years ago. My beautiful grandsons got to spend a day with their Onnie M - my youngest daughter as she is still on School teachers leave till next week Wednesday. I missed them today and hopefully I will get a day next week to have them all to myself - keeping thumbs crossed. My hubby is off on a ten day fishing trip next week Tuesday and I am kinda looking forward to the empty house to do as I please - I will have the TV remote as well as Carte Blanch to go to the movies every day. *Ice Age Collision Course is showing so if I have the grandchildren - we are going to see. *Central Intelligence - this I will watch alone *Finding Dory - Not interested *Sultan - not interested Any other suggestions? Kalispera everyone! “It is the common wonder of all men, how, among so many million faces, there should be none alike.” ~ Thomas Browne

Imagine having trains running through that sand! I wonder how long they ran for? We watched Hunt for the Wilder People set in NZ and thoroughly enjoyed it. No idea where or when films play in other countries.

That's a wonderful picture. I hope you have a chance to be with your grandchildren next week to go see Ice Age Collision Course. It does look interesting. I'm going to see Finding Dory with a friend next week. My son went and said it was worth the price. Enjoy your time alone.

Dory reminds me of myself - kind of forgetful - I might wait for it to come to boxoffice on my TV

@Inlemay I don't see you as forgetful. Though I know I can be at times.

My face is already a work of art. There are many collectors of gargoyles around these days.

Thats one thing I dont collect although I must say I have many photos of them - Does your island have many interesting sights like Malta had or is it more a pleasure resort?

@Inlemay It is basically a resort, but all places have some historical sights.

I always enjoy the days when the grandchildren are here but I also am finding some quiet time to myself which has been rare until recently

today I appreciated my quiet time immensely - I think we dont do it enough. I have been running behind, for and infront of my own children for 32 years - I feel I deserve this time and wont feel guilty about enjoying it.
