Matching Lace

I have a wonderful collection of lace containing all sizes and shapes. Despite having enough lace to supply a craft store, I don't have any in the color I need. Believe it or not, I cannot find the shade of blue I need to have to complete a project.
I have looked high and low and even ordered some online, thinking that maybe it would be the correct shade. Unfortunately it clashes with the baby blanket made.
I may have to dye it to get the correct shade. Or maybe I can make a little ruffle using the fabric since it is so hard to match. I would go buy a different fabric and start all over but it came from Afghanistan and my daughter is adamant about using it.
She and her husband met while they were both stationed there and really want me to use it for the upcoming baby. I will but they may end up with a blanket a little different than they pictured.

My mom used to tat and made some lovely laces.

@celticeagle I would love to learn how to tat. I have seen tatted lace and it is gorgeous.

hopefully you can come up with something that is beautiful lace. Maybe like you said in dying it might work. Good Luck.

@AutumnSnow I think I will figure out something. I would be easier to dye than to try making ruffles out of fabric.
