$0.7719 cents a day at myLot

Today marks a full year I have been receiving compensation for my (received) interaction here at myLot. Although the site officially unveiled the new payment system on August 3rd 2015, they had been working in the background 'tweaking' the algorithm, and back-dated the pay for several weeks previous to that point (one member has payments dating a few days previous to mine).
My 'monthly' average, up to now, has been $23.54 (total amount earned divided by 12). Not even enough for 4 packs of cigarettes, which leaves 26 days out of the month with nothing to smoke, so the money in and of itself must not be why I am here.
Indeed, if I was relying upon earnings from the Internet for anything, myLot would not be my choice of sites to be spending my time on.
The numbers, once 'crunched', divulge the fact that I make a grand total of $0.0005 a minute here , or roughly 3 cents an hour (this includes time spent not on the site receiving residual earnings).
So why am I throwing these figures out, if indeed I am not here to earn money?
Simply to show that I am not here to earn money.
I've stated many times before - money is an incentive to be active here...but it is not a reason.
Think about it...8,784 hours in a year.
If I were going to invest that time to earn money, I could find much better ways to earn it.
But if I want to hang out and socialize with people?
There really isn't a place I would rather be than here.

This is actually a better paying writing/blog site I have been on. I could earn more money if the time I spent here was spent on a survey/task site but this is much more interesting.

The interest is what keeps me coming back...and has for years. Although I earn more these days than I did in the first 'paying' version, the money is not enough in and of itself to hold me here.

@JolietJake Great idea! The other day I saw an old friend who used to weigh a normal weight. Now, it looks like she weighs 400 pounds. Every time I want to eat too much, I think of her and lose my appetite. I don't want that to be me.

I do like getting the money and at the moment I do need all I can get but if it stopped paying I'd stay around if it was moderated the same.
Last time it turned into a spam fest and there was only you owl and dawn that were around so I left too
I have decided though that money earned here seems to be ten times the value of that earned elsewhere.
