Woke about 11:30a. Went to sleep about 12m. last night. Feeling pretty good today. I think I do better when I eat a little something when I first get up. I don't' usually cause I save that for Josh. In a perfect world I would like to have breakfast every day. It is my favorite meal of the day. But eggs, pancake mix, cereal and etc. are all expensive. Well, not that much but I'd rather be sure to have something for dinner every day. Have to pick and choose when you don't have much money. Cami is still sleeping in my room on the floor. Poor kid. Doesn't want to be alone in her own room. Says she depressed. Wants me close by. Had the cable guy here and it is funny how this turned out. I was afraid he'd have to swap out the DVR. I have the full season of a show with Norman Reedus in it. He is one of the main characters on The Walking Dead. He drvies the motorcycle. In the show Ride With Norman Reedus he takes a friend and different motorcycle each week and travels along some great motorcycle treks. He was in New Orleans last night. So, anyway, I like the show and will watch it again. Didn't want to lose it if the cable guy had to switch out the DVR. He was smart and connected another DVR up and it did the same tiling so that wasn't the problem. So, after seven or so cable guys coming out, resetting the router several times, checking the router for updates, the DVR, the signal, the system out side and who knows what all else and did some several times. Guess what it came down to being. It was the HDMI cable! What I take to be the most common of cable equipment. No other cable guy tested that. Ugh! So, now it works nicely. Hope it lasts. I have been running the storyline of my book through my head at night as I am relaxing to go to sleep. I think I may have most of it done. Only been working on this one since I was about fifteen. My gosh! An inmate in a court room in St. Joseph (Michigan?) got a gun and started shooting people. Have police and such officials lost their frigging minds? Don't they have rules and certain criteria they go through? How can they let an inmate get a hold of a gun and know about it? So sick of the mayhem in the world. Is it 'the coming'? Are we all going to go crazy? What!?

well now you know another thing to check, I assumed one of the techs had done that already, lol! Gotta eat something in the morning, but I agree most of those things are expensive, We keep bread, for a slice of toast, or hard boiled (unpeeled so they keep longer) eggs on hand for breakfasts

I guess I assumed that the cord would be a part of the signal check they did. I like chopped up boiled egg in a boil with some butter and pepper and eat it with a piece of toast. I just usually don't eat a lot for breakfast, a banana maybe, saving cereal for my grandson so I am sure there will be enough for the month for him. Especially in the summer when he is home and not getting lunch at school.

@Jessicalynnt .....I used to love oatmeal as a child but, for some reason, it just doesn't taste same as an adult. Hmm.

@celticeagle a bit of fruit is a good breakfast, or a slice of bread and some peanut butter. We dont do much with cereal either due to price, oatmeal maybe

Lots of sick things going on in this world of ours. Isn't it strange how this repair people who are supposed to know what they are doing can't find a problem and so many have been there and all checking the same thing until Finally one checks a different cable and what do you know now everything is working properly.

Yes, it is strange. They were checking things and I think they must take that cord for granted.

I hate that you have to go hungry. I like cable too, but we had to let it go once because we couldn't eat and watch TV. My son in law hooked up a digital antenna but the only channel we got was MeTV. When you wrote about saving food for Josh it reminded me of my mom. I didn't know as a kid, but she would skip meals so my brother and I had meals to eat. I didn't know that until my mother told me as an adult. It made me feel terrible and loved at the same time. Your discussion drives home my story. I might write it up also.

Thank you. Yeah, it can be tough raising kids. Feeding them is just one aspect of it all.

I'm glad to hear you finally got the cable issues straightened out. I'm sorry Cami is so depressed she's sleeping on the floor of your room. My favorite meal of the day is also breakfast and it always seems that's what I buy most of at the store. I have very little to eat for the rest of the meals, so if nothing else, there's always breakfast food. I'm glad you have the storyline of your book almost finished. That's the way I would work on a book too until I know it's one that will work well and start writing it down. Yes, this is a sick crazy world we live in and Satan is in charge of all the inmates, can't you tell? I'm not referring to inmates as in what happened in a Michigan courtroom, but this whole planet of so called civilized human beings. It would be nice to open the newspaper, turn on the news, or even look at the Internet headlines and see that nothing bad happened that day and all this craziness took a holiday.

I wish the cable issue was straightened out. It started titling again. Read about it in today's post. Ugh! So tired of it all.

Yes I think there are a lot of bad things happening around the world these days. Just like what's happening in the South China Sea...China refused to accept the UN court ruling... There will be a major international problem.
