Holocaust Museum: Please stop playing Pokemon Go! here

The Pokemon Go! craze is everywhere in the United States and, unfortunately, people don't have the grace, class, or common sense to know when NOT to play it. They have proven that by playing it in the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. The officials at the museum would like visitors to stop trying to catch all of the little creatures in the halls of the space but, as the motto goes, players feel that they "have to catch 'em all!" regardless of the fact that it is a highly inappropriate activity to engage in inside the museum. What do you think about this? Would you play inside such a space?
Melding the real world with a digital one can sometimes lead to uncomfortable consequences.

That's crazy, I've heard a few stories about the things that can happen with this game - my teens can't wait for it to be released in the UK but I'll make sure they know when it's appropriate to play!

I wonder if it's something that you could sideload onto your devices from someone who gets it in the US, or if it would be completely useless since they haven't established the locations in the UK yet...

What a terrible thing. It's sad that people have no control over themselves, or choose not to, when it comes to their phones and games. It's sad and really makes you wonder sometimes

I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been more outcry about how many churches have been set as Pokestops in the game. All of the churches around here are points. I can't believe nobody looked at these things and said "gee, maybe we shouldn't have Pokemon spawning at this location because of what's here..." Yeah, it's encouraging a lot of people to get out and walk around to catch Pokemon, but there's a lot of really negative things popping up about it simply because some people are completely classless and/or stupid.

My husband just told me the incidents happened related to Pokemon Go. It seems like those players are really crazy about the game, and yes, I think they should be aware of the environment or surrounding even when they are playing the game. I don't think museum is an appropriate place to play such game.

There is no way I'd be playing games there. Who puts the creatures in these places? I don't really understand. Is it all just generated by whatever device it is they're holding?
