This post is inspired by a fun filled argument @toniganzon and I are having on a photo that I posted here where she was trying to guess the year in which that photo was taken and assumes it was taken somewhere around the sixties or seventies because I am wearing a maxi there.
This photo that I have uploaded here was taken last Christmas (2015) where I am wearing a maxi skirt. So what do you think. Do clothes help determine the year of a photo?

4/5years cannot be said to be too old. Fashions take a few years to run out.

It wasn't just the clothes. It's the whole fashion style plus the color of the photo and everything looked so old.
You see I'm wearing maxi skirt these days and fashion in the 60s but ti doesn't look like it was in the photo you posted in your discussion.
I rest my case.

You are right there and before I rest my case the condition of a photo could to some extent help guess the age of the photo.
It was great interacting with you. Have a nice day

they'd truly not'n my case. i've the same wardrobe fer prolly 15-20 years? i say where what's comfy 'n don't pay much mind to what designers 'n magazines deem to be 'in season'.

That is great advice but when what suits you gets into fashion nothing like it.

@allknowing trends come'n go. i've always wondered why folks're somewhat slaves to what complete strangers believe to be stylish. perhaps their constant boredom'n need fer recognition takes hold? 'tis nice to hear that maxi's 're makin' a comeback though. those danged short skirts'n "i could be a blouse if'n i'd more material added" really looked jest awful.

Fashion comes and goes in cycles, I too was wondering about maxi skirts recently....for sometime the were out and now I see they are back....
As for me I am always behind fashion...when I summon up enough courage to go for a new look it goes out of fashion
Great to see you throwing that party.

I wear what suits me and when that becomes fashion then it is like icing on the cake.
