Mind the silence

During my silence, i am screaming.
Sat down in a chair, where the table.is good.for four, and near the door.
Best spot to contemplate.
With a background song about moving on, my brain is moving too, wandering.
Thinking of how lovely the cathedral is, with foreign tourists in front taking pictures.
Then a tricycle caught my eye, oppss! Almost hit that parked motorbike.
A man got in, who never bothered to hold the door for the two ladies next to him. Ahh, why some can not do that.
With the crew of the fastfood i am.in, i saw the garbage bag filled with leftover fries. Sigh.
During my silence, i can hear friends laughing and having fun while eating, something good is happening too.
I should do this more often, stay in silence and just listen and let your eyes wander and have the brain do some talking.

What comfort do we find in all the noise?"---

sometimes its nice to be still and listen and watch the world go by, it quiets me and soothes.

I already do that. I prefer silence and am not even a tiny bit embarrassed by it.

Yup! Although, your avatar looks like it is ignoring everything said, right now...

You are very reflective and very observant. There is peace and more understanding in silence. I am also a quiet person and I love to observe more.

Sometimes it's fun (and maybe educational) to watch the world go by without participating.

@amadeo And some thoughts are deeper than the ocean... Not only calming, but much is also going on under that calm surface...

@Lucky15 I agree. (smile)
@Jessicalynnt Eyes wander, brain wonders and thinks,... then eyes look again. (grins)

I was silent for almost a month . . coz I was grieving. I am back and though still in grief, I am here to say I missed you all.

You have found your inner self. From meditation and observation you can witness many wonders as a spectator looking across a room filled with people in conversation. Then there are times I only wish I could hear the silence. Unfortunately I have a serious condition called Tinnitus. Sound tends to ease the severity of this condition. I once was able to hear the silence. I have actually cried during a moment of silence. I guess I was really stressed and the tears were my way of letting go of it.

@Lucky15 , I certainly appreciate your kindness. I feel that being quiet in one's mind, is the key to inner calm and then there are times for music, laughter and of course some noise.

I usually do that, too when I am alone. There was a time I was seated at a fastfood chain and there was a man with a young woman and then the man kept looking at me, seems uncomfortable. Lol!

@Lucky15 nope, he was the one who seems uncomfortable. Maybe because I was looking at them. Lol maybe that's his other woman. Ahahaha

Hahaha I do that when my friends are talking something I can't relate. Instead of giving them the 'what-are-you-talking-about' look, my eyes would wander around and my mind would go with it.
