Do You Want to Reach 100 Years Old?

A Law was approved that a Filipino who reaches the age of 100 years old shall be honored with a letter of congratulations from the President of the country and a Centenarian's gift of P100,000 ($2,130).
A Centenarian, being recognized as a nation’s role model for living long, healthy and with a disciplined life, shall be honored and respected accordingly by the younger generations.
Any thoughts?

Well, I don't drink, don't smoke, don't gamble, I eat vegetables and fruits, don't eat red and processed meat . . I eat tinola and pinakbet. But I flirt a lot! Do you think I could reach age 100?

I won't live that long, that's for sure, I might.but will have tons of illness. Unless I experience the "adeline" effect, there's no way i want to reach 100 years

I recently watched that movie. I don't want to reach that age also. I'm not so sure who's gonna take good care of me either.

You're right, we will be suffering for so many illnesses if we reach that age.

I think living to 100 yrs should be acknowledged as its quite an accomplishment. I'd only want to live that long if I was basically healthy & knew who I was.

I hope I can reach that 100 years old of age. I'm in my midlife now and I still feel young and strong. I hope I will always feel strong and healthy. I cannot tell now but if I reach 70 years, I would be grateful already. I wan't to receive that P100,000 gift

I am happy if I reach 80 but my husband grandmother is 99 years she only eating steamed fish and vegetables.

@cacay1 wouldn't it be nice if they give the 50,000 when you turn 50 years old and 10,000 every 10 years after .. that way, at least you benefited even if you don't reach a hundred ..

I thought I should comment in this now that you raised it on my birthday 14th jul. Its good motivation but it also needs a committed devotion. Remember God knows our tommorrow and only through Him can we rely for long life.

if given a chance by God, whom am I to refuse if He wants me to reach at the age of 100 yrs old. but if I am to choose, i don't want because all my children were boys and who'll take care of me. you know boys will come and go to our house

In Australia, anyone who turns 100 gets a letter from the Queen and from our political leaders, Governor and Governer-General. You do have to write a letter telling them that your relative is turning 100. You only write the one letter then it is all organised for you.
