Happy Friday to everyone! I am so happy! My brother came home with a gift for me. It was a new HP laptop. My old one was about 6 or 7 years old and had started to really slow down. Now I am trying to figure this one out with windows 10. It didn't come with any kind of book or disk or anything. I was so surprised and gave him a big hug and kiss. He is the best brother anyone could have.

My brother isn't a touchy/feely kind of person but I made sure I hugged him and kissed him.

congrats!! yer ol' laptop prolly jest needs a thorough cleanin', but what a wonderful gift fer him to surprise ya with :D i fear i've nary a clue 'bout windows 10 outside when't upgraded 'tself to my laptop without my approval, all hades broke loose'n 't took me 3 days to get rid'f 't, lol.

Yeah, my old laptop does need a good cleaning. I thought about reformatting it but I don't have a windows disk to do it.

@simone10 ya might try downloadin' adwcleaner - 'tis free 'n'll go through'n clean yer system. i'd not fool with reformattin', could be ya jest too much "garbage" boggin' 't down :)

That was really thoughtful of your brother to buy you a new laptop. You can go online and see what they say about operating windows 10. He is a good brother to you and hope you are still having a happy Friday.

I am so glad you received this great gift. In our days the manuals do not seem to exist anymore, search online, you will find a tutorial.

@simone10 I cannot believe it! They should pay attention to those kind of things, a good hacker could have been able to log in and grab data.

We found out this morning that the computer had been used previously. I turned on the computer and it wanted a password. My brother took it back and got another one. Now I am back online.

Wow, that's wonderful. I have Windows 10 and don't have much trouble with it. It is a bit different in some areas I guess but it's okay.

That's great, your brother is really kind. That's threw me a bit when I first got a computer - there was no manual with it. Hope you get on ok with windows10.
