Pigs Don't Need Blankets

Our weather recently turned around from days of grey skies and chilly temps to sudden Summer with 90s and high humidity. I have an AC to sit in front of during the day, and one to cool my bedroom.
But it's harder to cool the room the guinea pigs are in. I can't afford to run an AC in every room, all day and all night. So, the bet I can do is have The Boy move them into the livingroom where I can set the AC to go on automatically if the temperature gets to a certain point. Guinea pigs have a range of temps they can stand and it's not as low or high as you would think.
I have a very small range of temperatures I can stand. Optimal is between 65 and 70 Fahrenheit. I have a small range of months and seasons I enjoy. Currently, the list consists of October.
Are you a fan or hot or cool weather? Do you mind perpetually grey skies, or do you like them? Are sunny days your thing? Spring or Fall? Summer or Winter? October?
My AC is on right now, cooling my bedroom before I get there. I'm no fool.

In zoos and places that have small furry rodents I have seen frozen bottles of water, often 2 liters in the cages. Rabbits will cuddle with them in hot weather. I am not sure I like any season or month any more.

I only like the heat if I can get in a body of water.

I'm with you. My range of preferred temperatures is getting smaller all the time. But where I live, there are many months where I am happy with it. I am not pleased, however, that our June Gloom has spread to most of May and part of July. Enough already!

@Rollo1 All heat waves should be short lived, I wish our period of gloomy skies would be short too.

Summer came to us in the south of England with a vengeance about a week ago, and is still just about holding on, although the temperature has gone down from about 30 C to a relatively comfortable 21 C. I think this is probably my ideal temperature - warm enough to sit in the garden, but not too hot to do anything but pant. Most houses in the UK do not have AC, so we really suffer on the rare occasions when it gets really hot!

Yeah, that would be my first thing to do - put in an AC. I really find that over 80F you need the help of an AC because of the humidity. We are in the 90s every day now. It was 96 on Saturday. That's 35C. It's only a short period of time every year that it gets that hot, but it's still not appreciated.

@Rollo1 I spent January to June in Albany, NY back in 1982, and I well remember how, having frozen us all winter, the weather suddenly became indescribably hot and sticky! It seemed there were about two (very beautiful) days of spring before it became too hot!

I like a certain amount of variety but I don't like being frozen or fried for very long.

I am sweltering again. I like October too and sometimes November and September, it depends on the year.

I remember a winter's day when it was snowing in the morning, then it suddenly got warmer and it turned to rain. Then, just as suddenly, the temperatures began to drop. The rain turned into big, fluffy flakes of snow and it started to thunder and lightning. So freaky to have a thunderstorm in the winter, and in the middle of a snow storm. Weather is nice when it's psycho, don't you think?

I enjoy sunshine but not heat, rain but not getting soaked, autumnal colours of crunchy leaves, and snow without falling over.

We have consistent weather and hardly the kind of winter that needs heavy clothing.

we are pondering sugar gliders, once money and work get all straightened out, they have similar temp issues, which is why they will have to reside in the living area I think

I'm a winter person so this hot/humid weather we're getting here is not my cup of tea. October to June is my favorite time of year.

i cant switch on an AC all day cause thats going to hurt my pocket for sure..
