~A Little Annoyed~

Good morning friends! Apparently lately I have been having NO luck with childcare. A lady called me yesterday to watch her daughters today from 6am-3pm. I don't usually get up that early but I was going to make the exception for her. And I was going to miss church for her too! At 6:30 she still wasn't here so I text her and asked if she was still coming. She said no we enrolled with a daycare!! I told her she could have at least let me know since I got up early for no reason when I have been up half the night with my son! My girls are going to be upset because her daughter's were around their ages. =( I cannot stand disrespect. It would have taken her 2 minutes to let me know she went somewhere else! Ugh...people REALLY get on my nerves at times and I really needed to vent here about it-sorry!

You have a right to be upset. I would be too. The least she could have done was to let you know that she changed her mind.

@LovingMyBabies yup. It doesn't take a lot of time to call someone and explain you've changed your mind. It might take a minute or two. Not terribly hard, but I guess it's too much to ask of some people.

Ugh, how rude! I'd make a note of her information and politely decline her if she calls in the future.

@yukimori Oh trust me I saved her number for that reason alone... She will never get care from me in the future ever.

That is rude of her not to at least send a text to you letting you know of her decision. On the bright side, if you aren't too sleepy you can still go to church. Prayers you find someone who'll be on time and not worried about dog hairs. Have a blessed day

@Dena91 Yes it was very disrespectful! Yeah hopefully I can make it through church without sleeping now... Thank you for the prayers-apparently a miracle is needed to find someone decent!

Vent Away! What has happened to common decency? She SHOULD have called or even texted you to let you know. Two minutes? Pssht it'd have taken less than a minute!

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have no idea what happened to common decency-apparently it's a thing of the past... Really sad.

I too do not like disrespectful and irresponsible people. If she could contact you to make an app, she sure should have let you know there had been changes, she does not even owe you an apology, just simple sorry there are changes so im not coming could have been enough.

That's really annoying and the lady is irresponsible on what she's promised and done too. Sometimes I just do not understand how someone can promise to do something, but did not do it and yet did not inform others earlier too. Perhaps it's good that you are not taking care of her daughters, otherwise you might be more annoying with this attitude in future.

You should asked for a 50% deposit through Apple Pay or similar for this sort of exceptionally "unreasonable" hours, to avoid another act of total irresponsible act in the future. This woman is really something and you should have followed up with a demand for an apology or monetary compensation for your troubles.

So sorry to hear about this. You have all the right to be annoyed. Some people just don't have the right manners. Wasted time is worse than wasted money.

I cannot believe how rude people can be. We all have cell phones and it takes two minutes to send a message.
