Today is Mandela Day in SA whereby keen followers and long time supporters will give of their 67 minutes to any good cause in the country.
The 18th July marks his birthdate and the 67 minutes represents the years of community service he gave to his country.
I normally buy 67 loaves of bread and deliver them to a rural and needy area, but this year I have been knitting squares to be part of the greater blanket
Making project. The blankets go to the destitute and homeless people who are cold and hungry but not necessarily South African but rather a world outreach.
Since my blanket is not yet finished, I have decided to do 67 Minutes in a soup kitchen at the church.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post as I hold this cause very close to my heart. Tomorrow marks the anniversary of my dads passing- therefore these two dates are significant in my life and I celebrate them honoring two very great men.
Happy Monday.

Thank you for sharing. The day is almost over and I just found this discussion at around 10 PM. Still I can say, happy to learn of another great day and great cause to celebrate during July, along with Independence Days for Canada, America and France.
