My New Chair

Yesterday I went to the thrift store to see what they had for furniture since my living room will be basically bare except for end tables when I move. I didn't expect to find anything of value. I was wrong.
As you can see in the photo, I found a gem. This chair is so comfortable and lightweight I just had to have it. I know I'm in the middle of getting this move underway, packing and everything, so having one more piece of furniture is not always a good idea just before a move. However, it was a gotta have it moment.
When I called my friend I haven't seen or talked to in a long time, because I haven't been able to get a hold of her and always forgot to go through FB, I saw her there this morning, and called her. She has a truck and said 'No problem.'
When we finally had it in the kitchen I had her sit in it and her face said it all. She knew why that chair is mine. Now if I can find one like it when I move, it will be great. Then I'll have two chairs for the living room and I won't need a couch.
Doesn't it look inviting? And it comes with a footrest that has a hidden compartment, something I found out when we went to pick it up.
I hope your day is going well. Hot as a blister out there, but it's a great day.

@Jessicalynnt I sat in it this morning for a bit and realized there is no way for me to hang my legs over the arms, however the footstool is so comfortable, it makes up for it. Now I just need a good book to get lost in it and I have two I'm reading right now.

I knew when I sat in it yesterday it was my chair. I haven't had such a comfortable chair in a very long time.

@ridingbet It's not over yet. We have another hot day today and the worst of the week. We're already at 86F and going higher. And not even noon.

It looks very nice, I like wingback chairs. I bought a recliner at the thrift shop last year for our Florida home.

That's great that you found a good comfy chair at a bargain. It is so hard to find good, decent looking furniture at a bargain. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

what a great find indeed ... the perfect chair to sit in with a good book and a foot rest / storage bin too ... great... I hope you enjoy many hours of comfort and relaxation in it....

Yes it is. Very good condition. You can tell it's been used, but it's not worn.
