This Is Weird

I just got a second call from a 562 ten digit number. That's Calfornia. It is a automated recording saying that this is my final message from the IRS. That they are filing suite again me. I got on fragmented recording about a week ago. Wasn't even a good recording. I just ignored it as I am doing this one.
IRS doesn't call people like this do they? They would send me a notification in the mail with their letterhead and all I would think. I have paid all my taxes while working. And, f I owed anything they would have got ahold of me before this. It's been over ten years since I worked. All I can figure is that this is a scare tactic from some bill collector I know nothing about.

That is what I had heard and that is what I believed. I always double check on everything.

They have contacted me with this recording also. I called my local I.R.S. and was told it was a scam the people behind this scam is telling you this is last and final notice as a scare tactic to try and get you to call them back where they can get all your information and use it.

@celticeagle They sure are! Sad part is this isn't the first time. I have been called probably 5 or 6 times over a three year span by them all from different numbers. I have been told they are operating from overseas somewhere.

you can look up the IRS online and call and ask them yourself if you are worried.

the i.r.s. ne'er does such - 'tis a scam. ya need to report this to the i.r.s 'n the f.c.c. 'n possibly the attorney general's office (they'll tell ya who all to contact). such's easy to do, jest've the phone number'n dates handy when ya call.

This is what I thought. I got a fragment of a automated recording about a week ago. Now this. I am so curious and I always wonder about such things and want to get to the bottom of it. You telling me this helps a lot. Thank you.

IT'S A SCAM! I get that same call a couple times a month. It's so annoying and I can't block them because they are calling the house phone. It's all automated and it's most likely a computer calling and they are just trying to get your personal information, don't give it to them!

Yes, it is probably on a dialer. Our house phone has a blocking option. Thank goodness.

It's a scam trying to sneak up on your private stuff/information. By the way can't you block that number from further incoming calls?
