It's official - Donald Trump is the Presidential GOP candidate

Whether you love him or hate him, you've got to admit Donald Trump has done something almost no one could ever imagine doing. He started off as a joke last June when he started down the fancy dancy escalator with his arm-candy model wife. People and pundits together snickered and chuckled and snorted and laughed and guffawed and didn't take him seriously. As the months passed and he slowly crept up the polls, everyone still snickered and snorted, said it couldn't last, and continued their emphatic denial. No one took him seriously other than Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show. So, here we go. Clinton obviously will be the official Democratic candidate by this time next week. What will the next several months bring? This is going to be one ugly Presidential race. Part of me is looking forward to following it and the other part is absolutely dreading it. I don't like ugly. I don't like mean, and I fear this election is going to be unusually brutal. All the Presidential elections have been ugly and brutal and too long, far too long. I am waiting that the whole thing is over so we can read something more pleasant in the press.
