Came across this instead, it's been a favorite of mine for so many years but to be honest I much prefer this version to the ones where there's a singer. I accidentally ran across this instrumental version. I'd never heard of Duane Eddy before but boy he sure knows how to play that guitar......... Ghost Riders in the sky

I'll have to do a bit more digging on the guy @simone10 seems to me that true music buffs .... I am not a music buff .... would have heard of him.

@rebelann Yes, he really can play. Not only did I listen but I was also watching him. My son plays the guitar and he would be impressed. I'll have to show this to him.

I love this song, it was a great scene when it played it in the move Blues Brothers 2000.

I didn't like the blues brothers so I didn't watch that movie. The first time I heard it was when we were traveling to see dad's parents and he had his radio on a country western channel, this was the only song I liked and it was sung by Johnny Cash, but I think this rendition is better tho.

Wow, so sorry I didn't see your response sooner. I wish I had heard of him back then but when dad was stateside we were stuck listening to country western and ma only listened to classical ..... bummer eh?

yepperz, he can sure tickle those strings :) back'n the day the fella's used to play that 'round these parts't the local honky-tonks. 's fer the gunsmoke theme song? surely there's such someplace'n the webber net?

Yep, that was a popular song back in the day and the first time I heard it was by Johnny Cash, dad always listened to country western channels and I recall that this was the only song I actually liked .... I prefer rock n roll mostly. I'm tryin to find that theme on youtube and I did find a couple that didn't sound quite right, lately I've been watchin the first 5 years of Gunsmoke and I liked the theme they had in the first 3 seasons but can't find it on YT.
