Do You Have A High Maintenance Dog? / myLot

I have what some people might think of as a high maintenance dog. I have a Pekingese and to tell the truth I don't think he is high maintenance. I think he is just right. So, what is a high maintenance dog? I guess the definition is in the eye of the beholder. Many people would say it is a dog that is super lively, needs brushing everyday, needs a lot of attention, a follower of their owner, one who can not be left alone. My furbaby does need to be brushed often but we both like the time together, it doesn't feel like a big chore. He doesn't like to be left alone but we do occasionally. He loves being around people but he doesn't push for attention, he just likes to be in the same room or area. I give him attention because he's my baby, I love him, and I think he deserves attention. I don't think he is high maintenance at all. I think he is an important part of our family.

Of course Ruby is high maintenance!!! I wouldn't have it any other way! She has her own tube that my husband made for her!

@AbbyGreenhill what a cutie. Of course she has her own tube. I think those of us who have high maintenance dogs don't think they are high maintenance,

That last line says is ALL ...... you izz good people, my dog is high maintenance too

I gotta admit I'm glad mine ain't a poodle, now that's high maintenance.

I have a puppy named little rice. I walk my puppy twice everyday, shampoo him and dry his fur every weekend. When the winter is coming, i usually buy some lovely new clothes for him. Little rice brings laughter and joy into my life who deserve high maintenance.

@Sun7788 often our dog rolls out of the door when we open it when we get home, because he's is leaning against it waiting for us to get home.
