I have been craving chili lately. It is 100 degrees outside but I still made the chili. My son was laughing at me but he sure enjoyed a bowl full of chili and went back for more. Who says it has to be cold out to make chili. It sure satisfied my craving

I'm not great with spicy food but do like a mild chili except for those red beans...I hate those red beans, nasty chalky texture

I didn't make it as spicy as I normally do cause my daughter in law can handle it. I use regular chili beans.

@velvet53 They're those reddish ones right? I don't like them, if I have chili my sis makes mine without the beans I don't really know much about mexican type food as it isn't as big here as Indian food which I love but also not the spicy stuff.

It is over 100 most days where I live, and miserable! I love chili though lol.

That proves a point to my son. Hot or cold, chili works.

My Mum loved a really hot cup of tea when it was really how weather. She reckoned it made her perspire and that cooled her down. Maybe it's the same sort of thing.

I have been told that it is best to eat and drink hot things in the summer and the opposite for winter.

@JudyEv I so agree with you. I always have ice cream in the freezer.

@velvet53 I've never heard that. I do subscribe to the belief that is never too cold for ice-cream!
