I am Satisfied

I just returned from my first run in years, and it was successful. Granted, it was only a mile, but it was a success nonetheless.
Enthusiasm got the best of me, and I ran my first lap entirely too fast, but I was able to settle into a slower groove on the last three. And I was, overall, pleased with my form. I had to make an adjustment after the first lap (my arms were too high,) but I should have no trouble picking up where I left off.
The only negative is that I have cramps in my quads, even after stretching. I'm hoping they don't last too long, as I would like to get up early and do it again in the morning (I want to do most of this in the morning, if possible.)
All in all, I'm satisfied with this first effort. And, I had a groovy song in my head to boot:
Recorded on September 4, 1996 at the Brooklyn Bridge in Brooklyn, this became one of the highlights of the reunion tour.

@teamfreak16 yeah, maybe. I just have to be content with my bike these days. I'm much satisfied with that.

I've heard of too many people having heart attacks while running
My exercise is walking to a shop then back and lifting many heavy lager cans up to my mouth
I do need to start seriously exercising but maybe next month

Well done sir, but now you are going to need a running buddy. I guess you can't because you have a cat. Well, you could, but would need a dog that gets along with cats. That can be challenging.

I don't think my cat would go for it. He's a lazy sod.

well done - hope it gets easier the more you run, but don't overdo it

That's good that your run went so well. Do you have any aims in mind - mini marathons, triathlons - or is it just general fitness you're after?

At the end of a run, you should be listening to Running on Empty.

Congrats! I can't run a mile straight
But I can walk miles! It's a nice accomplishment to get outdoors and some excercise! But I know you enjoy biking too, have you been biking lately??

You give me some motivation to return to do some exercise.
Maybe I will go back to the gym.
I stopped working out because I felt it wasted my time and I needed to study, I also had a veins treatment in the legs.
When was the last time you practiced running ?
Why did you stop ?

So glad to hear it went well. Potassium is necessary to avoid cramps, maybe a supplement?

Potassium is a must and good for cramps. Try to have veggies full of potassium.
