Sorry about your car

With my last post I included a 'doctored' photo of a good friend of ours. She has a little car of which she is very fond. When she went away for some months we car-sat the Yaris. Vin started it up occasionally and one day we took lots of photos of it in compromising positions. We then made up a calendar with the various photos plus a couple of others. We put the car nose-to-nose with a 4WD that we had and said they were 'playing'. We hid it behind a heap of rubbish and said it was playing hide-and-seek. And we put it up against a tree with all the doors opened as though it had crashed. We emailed her the last photo and at first she actually thought Yaris had crashed and didn't realise we were joking. She should have known better!

I was really surprised she would believe it as we said we'd just start the car up once or twice. I thought she'd realise it was a joke.

It was very funny. I've said in other comments we enjoyed it nearly as much as our friend but actually I think we enjoyed it more.

She really thought we'd damaged it so we were very sorry about that bit. But she firmly believes friends are more important than possessions so there was no way she was going to give us a hard time over it even if it was 'hurt'.

She so loves that car and talks about it as if it is a person - it doesn't like driving long distances at night for instance. Doesn't like small parking bays. :)

@Inlemay It's a funny old site. I tried to write bus/come/motorhome but it didn't like how I spelt 'come'. Then I tried to write 'sni**er' as to giggle and it didn't like the bit after the 's'.
