His Lordship, Ruler of the Universe, the Evil Demon Spawn Scar - 'Important Cat Stuff'

I resolved a slight problem with Scar, although it is probably only temporary.
He constantly yells at me when I let him out in the morning to move his leash down to a different part of the yard, which I don't like to do until daybreak. Since he goes out at 3 AM sometimes, this means I deal with 2 1/2 hours of arguing with him.
He is insistent.
You wouldn't believe the curses he throws at me for refusing to do it.
But I found an answer to the problem.
I added an 8 foot extension to his lead.
Right now, he is happily investigating all the places he once wanted to sniff, but couldn't...quite...reach.
He's been out front now for about 90 minutes just checking things out.
With 33 feet of lead on a center stake, he now has a 66 foot wide circle he can explore.
The real fun will come soon, when the squirrels show up...not knowing that he can reach the tree now.
This is going to be interesting to watch.

@JolietJake Don't let him have too much fun, or else that lead will need another extension.

He's been out there close to 3 hours now, hasn't complained once...I have to keep looking to make sure he is still there...not used to peace and quiet

That's what I keep telling him about the dog across the street, but he still thinks he wants to go after it

He'll never catch one (I don't think) but they've gotten used to him not quite reaching the tree and have started ignoring him somewhat...that is all about to change

You gonna pay the $100 to get him out of the pound?

He probably came back with a squirrel in his mouth... Also when I reformat my harddrive, I might find myself listening to Van Cato's cover of Blind Guardian's "The Bard's Song..."

Hoping you get a couple days out of his new found freedom. If he can climb part way up the tree, I hope he can't tangle himself up and hang himself. We had to rescue our former cat that way once.

He will soon find out he can stretch further when his hunter instinct kicks in.

He's already been enjoying being able to walk to the other side of the ditch and curse out the neighbor cats
