Today is: National Coloring Book Day

It was bound to happen - National Coloring Book Day. 'Adult' coloring books are all the rage and by what the news said today the makers of those books can't keep up with the demand.
When you hand a coloring book to a child you do it for two reasons: to give them a way to express their creativity and also to keep them quiet for a while. After all, coloring is therapeutic and calming.
The same works for adults, so they say. Hand a grown woman a coloring book and a box colored pencils and supposedly a calm will overtake her. Hum, I know a lot of people who might need more than one coloring book to calm them down!
I'm a person who never colored inside of the lines. I might now in my 'advanced years', but I was quite different in my younger days. I wonder if I could actually color within the lines today or would I revert back to my carefree and reckless days.....I guess I'll never find out!

@amadeo All of a sudden I have the urge to color, but I already decided to sell the coloring book at a yard sale. Maybe I'll just doodle!

@AbbyGreenhill not really.Depend on the mood that I am in.I started gung ho and then lost it.
Not sure if I will go back to it.So many things going on with me.Time.

I got a coloring book for Christmas but put it away and never used it. I know there are lots of people who enjoy these adult coloring books and it makes we wonder if I'm missing something. I have enjoyed coloring with my grandkids but my own coloring book had no appeal

We were in the waiting room at the car dealership and a lady was coloring while talking on the cell phone...not sure how calming that is LOL!

I hate coloring books so much lol always gift it to others and most of people love it happ coloring day :)

I have an adult coloring book and colored pencils. That is great to know today is a holiday for it. I will make sure to not forget and color a little bit today. You could find out how well you color today. You could order an adult coloring book on Amazon. That is where I bought mine.
