Just when?

Something I was reading on myLot received another response. Notifications don't lie. Or do they? "Just now", it said. Yeah, right! Just now, sometime ago... Time, t'is an illusion anyhow. Lunchtime doubly so. While you're waiting, here's a rather pleasant version of a song from the 70s by a guy called Randy Vanwarmer. Yeah, I thought so too! ___ Image courtesy of Pixabay.

The pendulum... "...swings with a faint whum-whum noise, gently slicing thin rashers of interval from the bacon of eternity." Quoted, or possibly mis-quoted, from Pratchett... :)

@pgntwo lol.. ah the pendulum... yes my old physics lecturer used to say "what goes up, must come down, thus the pendulum swings". in other words, what's bad will surely improve in the future, its the natural course of things, the law of physics. I always find the pendulum a very comforting symbol

Not sure I ever heard it on the old jukebox that blasted out music from the bar on the other side of the bay when I was a young'un back in the 70s. Tie a Yellow Ribbon, or Seasons in the Sun - those were popular and repeated often, I remember.

I wish they would get the timing on the notifs right - it always says something like 59 minutes when it must mean 59 seconds, as it's only just come in.

Even what it is relative to - when it was posted, when you logged in, or when you hit the big green "m" to get at your notifications... ...would help.

@DaddyEvil Well, the doc did say to rub it there... Patient: Doctor, doctor, this ointment makes my arm smart! Doctor: Well, why don't you rub some on your head then...?

Impressive, yes, @xFiacre. Almost as good as Lucinda Belle, but not quite:
A live performance by The Lucinda Belle Orchestra of 'Where Have All The Good Men Gone' at The Pelican Rehearsals.

Now I had not considered that possibility - my eyes tell me your duck avatar has a bump on its feathered bonce, or do mine eyes deceive me...?

The notifications time is never correct, 'just now' can mean any time, even hours ago.

Maybe myLot has just realised that time is an illusion and is trying to make us aware too. :)
