Splurge Purchases at Target!

United States
August 3, 2016 2:53pm CST
Back in the day, I would shop at Target a few times a week. Even though I didn't need anything at Target, I would always find something to buy whether it be nail polish, sandals, junk food, decor items, just anything especially the dollar section always gets me! After that year or so phase, now I hardly shop at Target. I probably visit Target once every two weeks to pick up necessities like: bottled water, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. Photo attached is an example of a splurge purchase that I didn't need to purchase. A pair of suede like pink boots that I only wore once or twice. I ended up selling this on Poshmark because they hurt my feet but went well with my denim dress + mini photoshoot with my boyfriend at the railroad tracks. Do you often make splurge purchases? Now my splurge purchases are clothes/purses online generally, sometimes in stores too but too but not at Target anymore.

Ah yes, I remember reading your post about your splurging! That's wonderful you are loving your new computer/keyboard, new clothes and not having to worry about the cable bill as it's paid throughout the year. Good for you. :)

Mine are craft materials. If I were there I would have made a haul on planner stuff. I still splurge on them online though since all of the things I really like cannot be bought at stores here, but heard they were available at Target. Well, we got no Target store in my country.

@infatuatedbby yes but I have no choice. The ones I usually buy are the branded ones though.

AH yes, lots of craft materials for planner stuff at Walmart, Target, Michaels. I bet it is very expensive to purchase online right?

My daughter sure does. She is bi-polar and when she is manic she splurges like crazy. Those are cute boots.

@infatuatedbby .....I hope not too much. A little splurge now and then is nice but it can get out of hand.

Thanks I ended up selling them because they hurt my feet. I tend to splurge also or buy unnecessary items.

I cut back unnecessary splurges like at Target. That was back in high school when I didn't go shopping at department stores.

I am retired now so I can not make any splurge purchases unless I do really good making extra money online and with my garage sales.

Understandable! I try not to anymore, because it just adds clutter especially items I do not really need.

Looking at suede like boots makes me want to turn the a/c higher! I don't make splurge purchases. I am not a shopper - I'm a buyer. The only target is an hour away - didn't like that store when we lived closer to it - way too big of a store, like a super walllyworld.

I don't normally shop there for clothes or what not, but I did like their sandal selections. I like buying online and at the mall now. :)

I've made splurge purchases and sorry once I did. You were lucky you were able to sell those pretty boots. I like Target but I can't walk that much anymore with my bad knees so trips to Target etc are few and far between

I did just today! I stopped at Target and bought something like eight pairs of white socks and seven pairs of underwear. I spent like $20!

Once in a while I will splurge on something. I like the shoes in the picture. One of the times I was back in the States I rented a car and went to Target. I loved going to Target. We do not have one here in Jerusalem. Walmart is thinking of coming to check out to see if a store could be here in Israel. I would rather have Target here in Jerusalem.

I like going to Target more than Walmart. It is so hard to go in Target or Walmart and not walk out with anything. :)
