The Rush is On!

It has been a glorious summer day here, good enough for boating, swimming, or shopping.
Unfortunately, my husband and I did the latter. We now have an array of tiles on our carpet along with paint samples. Our decorator has to rush here tomorrow to help us choose. One Italian tile is from New York and the store is running low. We have no time to await further shipments. I would like this done ASAP.
After taking the photo above of my granddaughter sailing on the lake at camp, among many others, our son had to rush to the airport in Maine, to catch a flight to Detroit, to catch a flight to London. Crazy, but he had business which he mixed with lots of pleasure. He met with friends whom we know, too.
Now, just when I sat down to myLot, Doodles is asking to go back outside. So I will rush him a bit and return soon.

@jaboUK Oh, the stinker does try, but Grammy says, "No big bad poison ivy and no big bad tickies!" The funny thing is that he listens! I couldn't find him a couple of days ago. I stopped to pull a few weeds. I was frantic running around the property, looking under bushes and the deck, so I almost cried. I stood in the middle of our backyard and cried, "Doodles, come to Grammy!" He came running from where I had last seen him. I have been walking away and saying the same thing since, and that little boy runs into my open arms! I'm crazy about him!

Thank you. I'm crazy about that girl! My problem is that I don't know which tiles to get. I need someone to tell me which ones will go best. Duh is I!
Doodles won't use a lead anymore. Someone has to outside with him at all times, but he is so good. I just tell him where not to go, and he listens.

@infatuatedbby He is very busy, too, especially with camp, two science classes, soccer, and writing to Obama and receiving personally signed responses from him! I couldn't believe it!

Some days are crazy like that. I retired three years and imagined lots of lazy days. What was I thinking? I'm busier than ever! LOL

@just4him Would you believe the tiles were delivered yesterday? I had to deal with the driver. I didn't want his big truck ruining our new driveway or the Belgian block section. He used a trolley and placed the pack in the driveway where my husband told me to tell him. I recently covered them with a tarp and bricks. We're supposed to have rain for the next two days. They should be installed in a week or so. We will place my hubby in the old family room. I just wish he would get the use of his arms back. He's not in as much pain, is allowed to take his neck brace off for a bit, and does OT. We actually walked a little outside yesterday and today!
