I once bought a red rubber ball for Mykey but look who caught it, she had to run fast cuz Mykey was right behind her.

Ever since Monday we've been gettin a touch of rain a day , not a lot mind you but even a little is better than bone dry. I iz lovin it In 2012 I bought my sweet boy Mykey a red rubber ball, he was an aggressive chewer so I had to get a ball he could not tear up but boy does it bounce. Both Mykey and Ally had such fun with it so I whipped out the camera and got just a few action shots ..... I iz so proud of Ally for catchin it and me for getting proof. Are you happy about the weather you're gettin?

In NY, we had an afternoon shower after beautiful sunshine earlier in the day. Then more sunny days with occasional sprinkles. I loved that. Here (in Northern California) it's bone dry. Feh.

I've never lived in a humid area for any length of time but I did visit Lawton OK in summer years ago and boy was that awful and muggy YUCK. I'm so used to dry heat I have a hard time breathing if the humidity get over 20% when it's hot.

Maybe someday I'll get the chance to be around lots of vegetation but for now it's strictly sand and tumbleweeds @TheHorse at least I think our drought has finally ended, about time.

@rebelann For some reason the humidity in Chicago (and Michigan, and New York) never got to me. Maybe it's because I feel ALIVE when I'm around lush vegetation.

so glad to hear that'cher gettin' a bit'f rain down yer way, hon. i aint unhappy with the weather, jest wish those high pressure systems'd stop movin' 'round so's the barometric pressured stabilize. my mind'n body feel like'n o'er used yo-yo. cute pic :) i'd a big chessie that loved to play catch. sure miss that fella!

@rebelann the hubs bought him's a wee pup, outta champion stock to be his new huntin' pup. both parents received many awards, but this fella chose to jest sit'n the truck 'n wait fer all that bird huntin' to be done without his aide, lol. 'fter 2 years he 'came my pup 'n constant companion.

Ally was having a blast trying to outrun Mykey and catch that ball as well, Mykey had met his match. I'm glad you love my furbabies. I'm glad you're having good weather.

Is the dog in your picture Mykey? He looks really happy! I am happy with the weather here. It used to be very hot in the previous few months, now we get more rains, so it's not too hot now.

No, that is not Mykey it is my younger pup Ally, she was about 2 yrs old in the photos. We've been very hot for quite a while then on Monday it began to cool down some.

We are having lovely weather, in the 80s and not humid at all, crisp in the mornings it is starting to feel fallish already.

Oh that must be nice, I like when it gets down to the 80s. We're still in the 90s but it's not as dry as usual, lately we've been just over 20% which is so dern sticky ..... I'm just not used to humidity.

Thank you. I took these shots back in 2012 when Mykey was still active and yep, that ball was constructed to withstand extreme chewing ....... Ally rarely plays with it anymore, I think she misses Mykey more than I thought.

I wish the rain here would last more than an hour just once ..... still, an hour is better than the 2 minute fast and furious downpours.

Your dogs look like they are having a high old time with the ball. I wish we had rain but to the north and south it is raining so we aren't too bad off. I don't suppose we will have a water shortage.

The images are of the same pup, Ally. In the top left I caught her as she was trying to catch the ball and in the second one she'd caught the ball but had to make a quick getaway because Mykey was also after the ball.
