There is only one big fest for Malayalees .(Kerala) that is Onam. It will come in Next month. All type of persons equally enjoy the season. Its Myth is that our King Mahabali come to visit his people. Onasadhya (feast), Onakalikal (games) Onapattu(songs),Pookalam (flowers) all are special. Nehru Trophy boat race(snake boat race) at Punnamadakayal is a virtual enjoyment for the season.

@shshiju No I never heard of Payasam, but I made a search. If I understand well it's a sort of rice pudding.

@LadyDuck Yes it's a sort of rice pudding. There are many varieties Semia payasam and Palada Payasam is my favorite.
